The earth will end in 2012.
Every two weeks I visit the Yuma County Juvenile Detention Center to give a presentation. And every week after my presentation one of the teens raises his hand and asks, "Did you hear the world was going to end in 2012?"
My response is always, "No it's not. People always think the world is going to end in a few years. It never does."
But it turns out it will. I was informed by one of the teens that the Mayan calendar stopped at the year 2012. And that the Mayans were amazing when it came to calendars and stuff. "Why would they just . . ." the youth paused dramatically, " . . . stop at 2012?"
So there you go. Mark it on your calender. During the next presidential election the world will end.
