I love Chuck Klosterman. I used to love Guns and Roses. This is like my dream review.

Nashville
Beautiful city. I was downtown. Spent an evening walking in and out of country and blues bars. My favorite was the B.B King place.

election / Nashville / weather / Ender in Exile
1. This was the most fun election I can remember. May they all be that exciting. Congratulations to Barack Obama. Also, it was nice knowing the results by 9:00 pm so I could go to bed early.
2. I'm heading to Nashville, TN tomorrow for a conference. I'll try to post daily but it might be fitful. Also, at a local theater they are screening a 70 mm copy of Spartacus.
3. It finally got cold at nights. Right now it is 76 degrees out. This is why I like Yuma.
4. Our library accidentally put Ender in Exile on the shelves a week before it is released. I've got one of the copies in my office.

Halloween in Yuma
Two things that make Yuma different than Portland on Halloween
1. The heat. We didn't bring any water. And our costumes were too heavy.
2. Very few houses actually gave candy. Probably one out of every five houses in the neighborhood we went to. We did a lot of walking for very little candy.

Good knock-knock joke
One of the teens at the library told me this:
Knock Knock
Who's there?
9/11.
9/11 who?
You said you'd never forget.
