Why Worry? will make you laugh; Safety Last will make you scream

I had one of the best nights of movie watching yesterday. We watched Why Worry? Harold Lloyds best movie. There was loud, belly laughter. Then we watched Safety Last - the movie where Harold Lloyd is hanging from a clock. There were as many screams as there were laughs. That is one seriously intense movie. We were exhausted. Seriously exhausted. Safety Last has more thrills than perhaps any other movie I know. It was too intense for one of my sisters in law. She didn't care for it much.

Tonight we are going to watch Destry Rides Again.

I forgot my anniversary yesterday

. . . luckily Melissa forgot also. Weirdly enough, it was our most fun anniversary yet. The in-laws were in town so there was a lot of board games played. 9 years married. And we are happier now than we have ever been. Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer to be living in Aberystwyth, but Robin is a delight and we are renting a nice house and Melissa has never looked better and Eli loves the same kinds of movies I love.

2. Dave Barry has his year in review. Funny stuff.

We are halfway moved

Thankfully Melissa feels better. Those were a rough four days for her. She was so hungry but couldn't eat a thing.

We moved half of the apartment this morning. We had to stop because there is a leak in our gas tank. Friday we'll take the car in and finish moving Friday and Saturday night.

Merry Christmas everyone.

We're moving this week

We are moving this week. And Melissa got the stomach flu. (I think she ate a spoiled piece of bacon so she wouldn't have to help pack. When I suggested that, the thought of spoiled bacon made her throw up.)

The bummer thing is, normally when we movie, I get all testy and short, and am able to blow off steam by being kind of a jerk. But I don't feel good snapping at my pregnant sick wife. So I don't.

Well played Melissa. Well played.
