Had my first case of heat exhaustion in Yuma. Made the mistake of staying in the car to read, while Melissa and the children went to Wal-Mart. The temperature was 116 and I probably didn't drink enough water. I got noxious and my muscles ached and I was thick and slow for a good twenty four hours. The book was interesting though. It was about extreme kayaking.
The heat here is weird. When you walk out of the door it feels fine, no problem, not that hot. By the time you get to the car you are about ready to sit on the sidewalk and hallucinate till the buzzards eat you.
While climbing out of the car yesterday, Deborah accidentally knocked out a library bag on the ground. While she picked it up she said in Melissa's cadence, "Dang it" pause, "Dang it, dang it, dang it." (The same cadence Jan used while saying, "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha," on The Brady Bunch.)
Here are some weird and cool snow globes. http://www.martin-munoz.com/recent/index.html
