The Sand Dunes

"Nobody knows what's under the sand dunes," said a lady at work. "Every once in a while things pop up. Cars, wagons, bodies." I believe it. The dunes outside of Yuma are huge and constantly shifting. They are also hauntingly beautiful. And unfortunately one can only visit them on foot in the blazing hot summer, unless you have a dune buggy. They are too dangerous in the winter, what with all of the drunks racing around in their recreational vehicles. A lot of people die there.

Melissa's family and we went to the dunes the other day. Had a great time. Luckily it was overcast since it was 107 degrees that day.

And Return of the Jedi was filmed there. The pit with the teeth and tongues.

Here are a bunch of unintentionally funny comic panels. They are a tiny bit racy but woo boy did I laugh.
